Farmer+Chef Connection Returns to Phoenix to Unite Food Buyers with Local Food Producers

Phoenix, Arizona (July 19, 2018) - The Arizona Farmer+Chef Connection is the state’s only all-local expo showcasing locally-grown and produced food. The event brings together local food producers prepared to transact at a wholesale level and introduces them to wholesale food buyers at restaurants, hotels, grocery stores, and other businesses and institutions from across the state. This year’s event will be held on Monday, September 10, from 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. at El Zaribah Shrine (552 N 40th St, Phoenix, AZ 85008) followed by a casual networking reception at Helio Basin Brewery from 3-5pm presented by Bar and Restaurant Insurance.

This year’s Farmer+Chef Connection will return to Phoenix after three years of traveling the state to celebrate the region’s growth in food and beverage production and culinary talent. The event was held in Clarkdale in 2017 and in Tucson the two years prior.

The Farmer+Chef Connection offers an all day vendor fair featuring the best local food products Arizona has to offer. Dozens of farmers and food producers will be present with informative displays, samples of their products, and wholesale details. Buyers will be able to meet local purveyors face-to-face, learn what is and will be in season, sample products, and set up future procurement relationships.

This industry-focused event is best suited for the following individuals, businesses, and organizations:

  • Arizona-based, wholesale-ready farmers, food artisans, ranchers, dairymen, winemakers, brewers, and others

  • Chefs & restaurateurs

  • Grocery purchasers & marketing managers

  • Food distributors

  • Small & large-scale food buyers for institutions and organizations

  • Other industry professionals with the desire to network in the local food sphere

Tickets are now on sale for both food vendors and general admission, with early bird pricing through July 31. Tickets provide access to both expo and reception. Pricing does not include online ticketing fees. Current Local First Arizona business members qualify for a 20% discount on all ticket prices.
