Vote Your Main Street: Casa Grande in the Running
This year, the National Trust for Historic Preservation is partnering with the National Main Street Center for Partners in Preservation: Main Streets – a grassroots campaign recognizing 25 historic sites on American Main Streets. The #VoteYourMainStreet campaign is providing $2 million to fund preservation projects for the 10 communities that receive the most votes.
Casa Grande Main Street is one of the 25 communities chosen for this national campaign - and the only Arizona community in the running. If victorious, Casa Grande Main Street will create a new Vintage Neon Sign Park by salvaging historic neon signs from throughout the community. The park will serve as a vibrant downtown destination for visitors. The community is competing against household names like New Orleans, Seattle, and Los Angeles, so they need our state-wide support to help bring a Vintage Neon Sign Park to Downtown Casa Grande.
You can vote daily (up to 5 times a day!) through October 31 to help Casa Grande receive a share of $2 million in funding for preservation projects. Voters can also enter for a chance to win a trip from National Geographic.
