TENWEST FUSE a Showcase of Music and Makers

The Local First Arizona’s Southern Arizona team is excited to be a major partner of the TENWEST Festival for the finale event FUSE with a local Maketopolis showcase in partnership with Xerocraft, Tucson’s local maker-space. The TENWEST Festival is a weeklong celebration
where arts, entrepreneurship, technology, and communities come together. Through talks, workshops, performances, and networking mixers, the festival allows Tucsonans to build their next Tucson together. Created for professionals of all skill levels, the TENWEST goal is to explore the diverse attributes that attract and retain talent in Southern Arizona. Click here to learn more about TENWEST.
What is TENWEST FUSE? After a week of learning, innovation, and networking, TENWEST is holding a showcase of local music and makers to inspire a collective creative energy which will include a Maketopolis event showcasing local makers and artists through the partnership of Local First Arizona and Xerocraft. This event will happen downtown at the intersection of Stone and Pennington and will feature local bands and a host of unique exhibitors for TENWEST pass holders or a fee of $10. Featured at the event will be booths with products for sale and demonstrations. Larger areas are also planned for short classes on various maker topics.
Who will be featured at Maketopolis at FUSE? One local maker involved is David Lesser, an astrophysicist and vice-president of Xerocraft Makerspace in Tucson. At FUSE, he will be featuring Xerocraft's 3D printers, and running short hands-on classes for attendees to try their hand at 3D printing for the first time. Fuse will also feature a Fashion Trunk show, where you can find local fashion designer Quinlan Wilhite founder of QMULATIVE and Lifestyle Designer of the Year for Phoenix Fashion Week, you can see him sow pockets for his signature shirts live during FUSE.
Who else will be featured at FUSE? Performers: Rilen & Out, Lando Chill, Run Boy Run, VOX URBANA, and Mele Martinez Flamenco. Poetry will be featured from Words on the Avenue.

Doors open at 5:00 PM. All door proceeds will benefit Sustaining Member of Local First Arizona KXCI Community Radio. Admission for FUSE is included with the TENWEST PASS, $10 admission fee for non-pass holders.
