Dates set for the 2016-2017 Sustainability Series
After a successful five-talk run covering the basics of sustainability, Local First Arizona is partnering with Green Living Magazine, Laura Tanzer, Mrs. Green’s World, Borderlands Brewing Company, and Delectables Restaurant for a free ten-part series of speaking events, where experts in the community will share their thoughts and encourage discussion about a different topic each month. The goal of the series is to inform and empower guests on how to live a more sustainable lifestyle.
The events will be at Laura Tanzer’s Atelier on 410 N. Toole Ave. #110, on the last Wednesday of every month, except for November and December. The events will be from 5:30pm 7:30pm. The dates and topics are as follows:

Nov. 9 How to Green your Holidays
Dec. 14 Sustainable Fashion
Jan. 25 Social Justice
Feb. 22 Artisan Local Food Movement, City of Gastronomy
Mar. 22 Clean Air
Apr. 26 Recycling and Composting
May 24 Waste Water
Jun. 28 Water Harvesting
Each event will feature up to three experts from the community to share how they have worked to help make Tucson more sustainable. Following the discussion, the panelists will engage with audience members to answer questions and foster a discussion about how to build a stronger community.
The next panel will be held on September 28 at 5:30 pm. It will be located at Laura Tanzer’s Atelier on 410 N. Toole Ave. #110. Guests of all levels of interest and experience are encouraged to attend.
