3.14 Cool and Irrational Pi Day Facts
Happy Pi Day!
If you’re wondering what exactly Pi Day is, you’ve come to the right place. First off, Pi Day is an annual celebration that has to do with one of your favorite subjects: MATH! The mathematical constant known as (pi) is the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter.
The number is crazy long, but when rounded, it becomes 3.14 which means March 14 is Pi Day! (March is the 3rd month and the day is the 14th, so 3.14). Get it?
Since pi is also an irrational number (meaning the decimals do not actually end... pi just keeps going!), here are a few irrational facts about pi and pie.
