The fall season is upon us, and Northern Arizona is active with an array of fantastic fall fun, family-friendly festivals, spooky trails, and costume contests for all ages. This is a great time of year to explore Arizona and experience some of the best this season has to offer in a new community. Head north for Octo-boo! fun and enjoy the cool, crisp weather, hay rides, pumpkin patches, and all that autumn brings.

Fall Fest - Warner's Nursery

Warners Nursery host a two-hour, family friendly event with tons of activities including horse back rides, a bouncy house, kiddie caboose, balloon art, crafts and games, face painting, a petting zoo, food and drinks, cotton candy, a pumpkin patch, hay maze, a live band and a costume contest! Tons of fun from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, October 21st. More info here.

Evening Halloween Tours - Riordan Mansion

Riordan Mansion State Park offers a special nighttime program during the week of Halloween every year. This very popular guided tour is a storytelling session involving tales of the fantastic and the factual. The historic Riordan Mansion makes a great backdrop for spinning yarns appropriate to the Halloween season. The tours are for ages twelve and older. Pumpkin Walk and Fall Fest - Arboretum of Flagstaff

Enjoy a long list of fall activities with your family from 3 to 7p.m. including fall games, face painting, apple bobbing, crafts, hay rides, a petting zoo, pony rides, pumpkin walks and a photo booth. Tickets are required for certain activitiesand are only $1 each.
Refreshments will be available in the Ponderosa Pavilion and the Costume Contest starts at 5 p.m. with a full line up of celebrity judges – Mayor Coral Evans, Dapper Dre, and Albert the Abert Squirrel and his sustainability entourage! More info here.

Scaryoke and Costumes at Main Stage Theatre - Cottonwood

For some adult fun in the Verde Valley, swing in Main Stage Theatre, for spooky drink specials and some super, scary-oke hosted by Redbear starting at 8 PM on October 31st. Costumes are encouraged and there's no cover. Voted best entertainment venue in 2017, Main Stage offers premier music, events, and entertainment every day of the week. More info here.

Safe Night Halloween, Fall Celebration, and Costume Contest - Old Town Cottonwood

Bring your family to Old Town Square on Main Street, the open lot south of Pizzeria Bocce for bouncy houses, family activities, and an all ages costume contest on October 31st from 5 - 8 p.m. Prizes will be awarded that evening. This is sure to be a fun and safe event for families, and will coincide with other great holiday-themed events for kids in Old Town including the Safe Night Halloween trick or treating provided by participating Main Street businesses in Old Town. Trick or Treating and Costume Contest - Upper Clarkdale

Stroll through the historic town of Clarkdale for a night like no other. This neighborly community event from 5 - 7 p.m. on October 31st, will not disappoint with many of the homes along the all ages trick or treat route decorated with seasonal lights, spectacular spooks, and many wild sounds of the season.  The costume contest starts at 5:30 and takes place at the town park's gazebo. Annual Main Street Trunk or Treat Halloween - Camp Verde

This popular event right on Main Street, closed down through the Camp Verde Feed Store creating a safe and open environment for all to enjoy fun activities and spooky surprises. Businesses, organizations and individuals will be passing out candy to costumed children strolling the street on October 31, from 5 - 7 p.m.. In addition to candy gobbling, businesses and groups are gearing up their decorations and activities for the Halloween Extravaganza including fall and Halloween themed decorated businesses, cars and construction equipment. Trick or Treating in Red Rock Country - Uptown Sedona

Head to Sedona for their 31st annual Halloween event right on Main Street in Uptown. Merchants welcome all good ghouls and ghosts to visit their storefronts for great treats and safe fun. Trick or Treating on October 31st begins at 5 p.m. and the Thriller Zombique will show from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the intersection of Jordan Road and State Route 89A. Pumpkin Splash - Sedona

Bring your bathing suit and join your friends at the best pumpkin patch in Sedona. On Sunday, October 22 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., the Sedona Community Pool will be home to pumpkins ready for the picking right out of the water that is! This unique event is fun for all ages. Some classics and some new games for kids on the pool deck to play and compete in, painting ponies, a photo booth, and other activities. Trunk our treating is set up just outside. Pumpkin Splash is limited to the first 300 people. Everyone entering the pool facility, adults and children alike, must pay a $5 entry fee. This entry fee includes a pumpkin to take home. Trunk or Treat Festival - Payson

Witches and goblins looking for a place to enjoy Halloween night should look no further than the Town of Payson’s Trunk or Treat Festival on Historic Main Street on October 31st from 6 - 9 p.m. Bring the little ones and come meet your favorite Hollywood Character at the "Hollywood Walk of Fame." Local residents and community leaders dress in costumes like Captain America, Superman, John Wayne, The Minion, Captain Jack Sparrow, Buzz Light Year, Maleficent, Elsa from Frozen and many more. Admission is only $3 or $2 with a can of food for donation. Trick or treating for children 12 and under will also be available. More info here.

Mortimer Farms Pumpkin Fest and Corn Maze - Dewey

Get excited for the fall season with Mortimer Farms and celebrate from Sept. 29th - Oct.29th in Dewey, AZ.
