3 Brews you Don't Want to Miss at Born & Brewed Beer Battle

What better way to spend a Saturday than sampling some of Tucson's best local brews? This weekend, Local First Arizona is joining Hotel Congress and local Tucson brewers for the 6th Annual Born & Brewed Beer Battle, taking place at the Hotel Congress Plaza on Saturday September 23rd at 6:00 PM. This annual event is keeping it local by bringing only Tucson Brewers to compete for the title of Best Flagship Beer, Best Specialty Beer, and People’s Choice. 

More than a dozen local breweries will be present to showcase their best brews in hopes of taking home the Tucson Beer Cup. Who do you think will win this year? We talked to three of the participants to see what they'll be bringing, we suggest you check them out:

1. Borderlands Brewing Company

Using Local ingredients and sustainable practices to craft their beers Borderlands will be featuring their newly released German Chocolate Porter a Chocolate Cocunut Porter at Born & Brewed.

2. Catalina Brewing Company 

Mesquite Chiltepin Porter a robust porter sweetened with ground mesquite flour, and including a slight zesty taste from the infusion of chiltepin peppers. A wonderfully tasteful blend that begs to be enjoyed by you at Born & Brewed!

3. Nimbus Brewing Co.

These guys don't Monkey around! Established in 1996, Nimbus is proud to say that they have several award winning ales. Going for the win Nimbus will be featuring their flagship Old Monkeyshine Pale Ale.
