Bisbee Handmade Shopping for the Holidays


Shopping for the holidays can be stressful, and even more so when you're trying to ensure that you are buying ethically sourced and locally made products! In order to make your holiday shopping a little bit easier, we have created a list of Bisbee shops that carry unique and locally made items your loved ones will.... well, LOVE! 

1. Black Sheep Imports

This unique boutique lives by it's name as a "black sheep". This counter-culture shop welcomes you to be the odd one out, and carries many different items you could gift to your loved ones this holiday season. 2. Va Voom

Va Voom makes all their own accouterments from boot covers to suspenders, you won't be disappointed! The shop also makes their own handcrafted jewelry, and carries Kuumba Made fragrances from Tucson. Va Voom also provides an assortment of vintage items and locally made zombie miner shirts. There is something for everyone in this Bisbee shop!

3. Bisbee Soap and Sundry

Bisbee Soap & Sundry is Bisbee's local bath shop, featuring hand crafted, small batch goods. Delectable soaps, lotions, beard oils, bath bombs and more. These items are locally made, and often use locally sourced ingredients. A great gift idea would be a gift set that includes a Rosemary Mint candle, Mojito Lip Balm, and a bar of Lavender soap. 

4. Tumbleweed Gypsy

5. Old Bisbee Brewing Company


Old Bisbee Brewing Company is a must visit whenever you're in Bisbee. With a renown selection of beers and homemade root beer you won't want to leave. While you're here spend your day gazing at the mountains from the patio, and eating gourmet bratwursts or the best vegetarian chili in town from Cafe Roka. If your loved ones can't make it, pick up a growler of your favorite beer and match it with a set of pint glasses for the beer lovers in your life. 

6. Bisbee Books and Music

Bisbee Books and Music is a general bookstore, but with an emphasis on the Southwest:  history, gardening, nature, birding, political and environmental issues. They also offer a wonderful selection of poetry, DIY books, children's books, and more. With both new and used books, the options don't stop here with products such as toys, games, musical instruments, vinyl records, and hand-crafted items by local artists that are also available. Come check out this unique bookstore and pick up a book from a local Bisbee author or a special hand-crafted gift from one of the many artists in town.

7. Old Bisbee Roaster

Since 1998, the Old Bisbee Roaster has maintained a level of excellence by roasting specialty coffees that are produced by small farms and co-operatives. They ensure that they are using sustainable agricultural practices, and follow fair trade practices to bring you the tastiest and most ethically sourced beans they can provide. With so many different roasts available, any coffee lover would enjoy a sampler pack of four different varieties of ½ pound beans.

8. Killer Bee Honey

This local shop harvests all their own honey combs and creates delicious products that you won't want to miss out on. The owner, Reed Booth, loves to cook and that is how he came up with all the different flavors of honeys, butters, and mustards. Stop by the shop on Main Street and pick up some Wild Dessert Honey, Honey Mustard, or Honey Butter to put on any food item you can dream of. 

9. Kate Drew-Wilkinson Jewelry

These locally handmade glass beads, pendants, necklaces, and earrings will be sure to make someone on your gift list happy. Kate Drew-Wilkinson makes all of her jewelry in Bisbee and offers unique and amazing pieces for everyone. 

10. Gimme Shelter

Gimme Shelter raises money to fund shelter improvements, and to help find adoptive homes for local animals. They have a consignment and thrift store on Main Street to sell pet supplies and raise money for the shelter. Give a special kind of gift this year and make a donation in a loved ones name to the this organization. You will be able to help an animal's life, and give a gift that will make a true difference.
