Northern Arizona June Mixer Recap: Prescott
The northern Arizona mixers just keep getting better and better. In fact, we are happy to say that June 2013 was the first northern Arizona mixer, so this past mixer in Prescott marked the one year anniversary of hosting northern Arizona mixers! Thanks to YOU these mixers have all been energetic and amazing gatherings of local business and community members.
Last week's mixer at the Hassayampa Inn in Prescott was one of the best ways to celebrate that one - year anniversary we could possibly imagine. The Prescott business community is amazingly supportive of each other and the community members that make the local business community so unique and strong, year after year. Thanks to all of our local business members and other local organizations that came out to the event. We had nearly 45 people there and the momentum could be felt throughout the crowd, with new faces and long-time Buy-Local Movement supporters.
Also, a special "thank you" goes out to the Hassayampa Inn and their amazing staff. The facility was beautiful as always and everyone enjoyed gathering at such a historic Prescott business. We learned about lots of their exciting new happenings and events coming up this summer and fall and saw the new restoration of the Peacock Room dining facility. What a testimony to community supported business growth and sustainability!
Local First Arizona was happy to announce our upcoming Independents Week campaign, as well as the next mixer in Jerome on July 1. Margaree Bigler, Localist Program Director, also attended the event and shared information with the crowd about the Localist Program. She highlighted several of the past Localist events held in the Phoenix and Tucson and northern Arizona regions and many people in the crowd offered up great ideas for engaging Localists in the Prescott area. Thanks for joining us Margaree!
