#1 Attend a St. Patrick's Day Parade!
The most classic way to celebrate the green holiday is to throw on a green shirt and head to a St. Patricks Day Parade. If you're feeling adventurous you could even put one some green shamrock beads, or you go all out with a green hat like this excited pup!
One of the largest events in Phoenix is the St. Patrick's Day parade and Irish Faire which starts at 10 a.m. on Saturday. The parade will immerse you in full Irish culture as Irish step dancers, green floats, and sounds of bag pipes will bring you the ultimate cultural experience.
The celebration will continue in full Irish force as the Irish Faire hosted in partnership with the Irish Cultural Center and McClelland Library will offer Irish food and beverage options, Irish crafts and merchandise and a kids section so they can have fun too! Oh and the Irish sure know how to throw a party because celebration will go on all day until 10 p.m.
Wondering if you're part Irish? Genealogy experts will be on site to help you decipher your pressing question. Tea Ceremony sittings will take part in the Irish Cultural Center if you're looking for a calm and unique experience. Interesting books that will give take you on an Irish journey will be on sale at the McClelland library as well.
The parade is free and the general admission for the faire is $12. (children 12 and under are free).
A cool addition is that free parking when you purchase a faire ticket!
#2 Try some delicious guacamole!

#5 Volunteer with our Green Team!
Our Green Team is made up of some of the coolest individuals that care about growing a more sustainable Arizona. In a nutshell, Green Team volunteers work in units and assist in diverting waste at festivals, assisting with community clean outs and hanging out with local business to educate people on sustainable practices.
Oh and Green Team volunteers make a HUGE impact! To date our Green Team Volunteers have diverted over 4,000 pounds from the landfill and hosted numerous community clean-ups!

#7 A little party never hurt!
The historic Hotel Congress built in 1919 will be the ultimate party destination for St. Patricks Day this year. A family-friendly event will kickoff the day at the hotel with a parade and an Irish cook-off.
Once the clock hits 8 p.m. the 21+ after party will begin where they'll offer some sweet specials on Irish classics. They'll be offering $5 Guinness, $6 Jameson Whiskey, and $10 Irish Handcuffs. If you're looking for a festive Instagram photo you can take a picture with leprhauan in the plaza while you listen to a live Irish band!
The Great Guinness Toast will begin at 10pm along with a drawing for a chance to win REAL gold!
