Community Spirit Shines in Pine
The local business owners and residents of Pine/Strawberry are proud to call their mountain town home and they should be! We will not soon forget the great time we all had at our May mixer this past Wednesday hosted by the fabulous team at Sidewinders Tavern and Grill. The evening weather was perfect and the picturesque scenery of Pine irresistible, so we converged on the beautiful patio at Sidewinders to to celebrate local business and community collaboration. Sidewinders kept guests full with a selection of appetizers, including their colossal sized thai chili chicken wings. THAT Brewery offered samples of their popular local brews, like their toasty malt flavored THAT Amber, that paired perfectly with the delicious food. Co-owner of Sidewinders Tavern and Grill Kim Hazine gave a rousing speech to guests about the importance of working with other businesses in the community to ensure success for all. This theme was echoed through out the evening and left us all in high spirits and motivated to celebrate working together.
We also discussed the upcoming BALLE Conference, being held in Phoenix June 10-12. As well as the upcoming Rural Policy Forum, being held in Clarkdale August 6 & 7 and the upcoming statewide Local First Arizona Independents Week campaign. Join us for our next northern Arizona mixer in Flagstaff on June 24th at The Tourist Home Urban Market. We can't wait to see you there!
Thank you to all who attended:
