An Evening at THAT Brewery

imagejpeg_0On Wednesday, April 8th Verde Valley residents came together to celebrate local business while enjoying the finest in locally brewed beer at THAT Brewery's Cottonwood tasting room. Some local favorites include their Arizona Trail Ale and their Strawberry Blond. Members made connections and sipped delicious beverages while being treated to tasty snacks from Chef Michelle Jurisin of the Haunted Group. This talented chef went above and beyond, providing a beautiful assortment of dining options fit for any palate.  If you have not yet been to THAT Brewery, or stopped in one of the Haunted Group's six restaurants it is certainly worth a trip to northern Arizona to check them out. Local business owners and non profit organizations connected with one another and shared about the work that they do. Mayor Joens of Cottonwood was there and shared a success story about public transit in the area. Councilman Regner of Clarkdale and Lana Tolleson, President of the Cottonwood Chamber of Commerce, and Casey Rooney of the Cottonwood Economic Development Council joined as well.  Tamara Morken of THAT Brewery told us a bit about the Brewery and the many events that they host, including weddings and dance parties. 20150408_174355

Founder and Director of Local First Arizona, Kimber Lanning  discussed the upcoming  BALLE Conference, being held in Phoenix this June. As well as the upcoming Rural Policy Forum, being held in Clarkdale this August. Our next northern Arizona mixer will be held at Sidewinders Tavern and Grill in Pine on Wednesday, May 27th. If you have never been to Pine, this is the perfect chance for you to get acquainted with another Arizona town while supporting local business within the state! Please join us in May for more fun and mingling.
