Have you ever tasted an English-style nut brown ale with honey-roasted parsnips, chestnuts, hazelnuts, cranberries and sweet orange peel?
Did the title of this post grab your attention? Because when I first heard that this kind of beverage existed, I was blown away. And only Sonoran Brewing could come up with this concoction, called Lee's Liquid Dinner, created by The Phoenician Resort’s Executive Sous Chef Lee Hillson and Sonoran Brewmaster Zach Schroeder.
Want a taste? Sonoran Brewing and The Phoenician Resort have teamed up for the 3rd installment of Sonoran's Chef Series. On Friday, October 19, from 6:30-8:30pm, enjoy a glass of this brew at their tapping party at the Phoenician. The two-hour tapping party will include the premiere of this seasonal release, along with other select offerings from Sonoran Brewing Company -- all perfectly paired with signature hors d’oeuvres showcasing the artistry of former Iron Chef America participant, Hillson. In addition, local artist Ellison Keomaka will recreate the original artwork designed for the specialty brew’s label. The painting will then be auctioned off to benefit Phoenix Children’s Hospital.
Sounds like a great evening, and it's only $35 to attend!
