Small Business Service Week To Encourage Spending At Service Based Businesses
December 2, 2010 -- Are you scratching your head wondering what to get that special person on your holiday gift list? Perhaps the gift of service might be the answer, and there are many small businesses that offer service (like labor) as their main product. So, join Panther TEK and Local First Arizona as we present the first ever Small Business Service Week which will take place December 13th thru the 19th. Unlike Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday, this event will encourage consumers to buy from those local small businesses that have made service the main product they sell. This can range from anything from computer repair to pet sitting.
"There are many small businesses like ours that specialize in providing certain services to their customers that are labor intensive. Not every local business sells a product that's tangible. Small Business Service Week hopefully will encourage consumers to patronize those types of small companies that offer labor, time, or knowledge as their main product. Many of them, like us even offer gift certificates for purchase which make wonderful holiday gifts," said Nohl Rosen of Panther TEK who came up with the concept.
The event is being encouraged nationwide and it's hoped that consumers answer the call and consider giving the gift of service to someone on their holiday list that might need it.
"We all call a service based business when we need help, and many of them are run by local independent operators. If you're looking for a great gift this holiday season, then purchasing the services of a small local business is the answer," Rosen added.
The event is being encouraged nationwide and all small service businesses are encouraged to participate.
