About the Festival

Recognized by Movie Maker Magazine as one of the top 25 Coolest Film Festivals in the world in August, 2017, voted one of the top 52 weekend adventures by Phoenix Magazine and chosen as one of the 12 finest summer festivals in Arizona by Travel Mag, the Jerome Indie Film & Music Festival thrives to maintain a fiercely independent spirit and prides itself on offering our guests a truly original, unique cinematic adventure.

The festival was founded by filmmakers for filmmakers, film lovers, and artistic spirits alike. The Jerome 89A Film & Music Festival is a raw and independent destination festival that takes place in one of the most beautiful regions of Arizona, encouraging guests to step out of their comfort zone and dive into adventure mode.

Throughout the four day festival, independent films screen at various unexpected locations which have included historic, rustic buildings, at an old haunted gold mine, inside a firestation, at wineries, inside funky Jerome homes, in the basement hallway of the old Jerome High School and even on a train that travels through the majestic Verde canyons.
