About the presenters:

Bill Munch graduated from Arizona State University in 1988 with a Bachelor of Arts in Purchasing and Materials Management. He has received certification as a Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.) and Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB).

Bill has twenty-seven years of experience in public procurement at the State Procurement Office and various Valley school districts.  He currently serves as the Procurement Compliance and Training Officer for Valley Schools Management Group, a public entity insurance trust.  Bill spent ten years on Arizona Association of School Business Official (AASBO) Board of Directors and four years on the Governing Board at Tempe Elementary School District.  He is a certified Arizona Community College Instructor that regularly teaches classes and workshops throughout the State in public procurement.

Most recently, he was awarded as the 2016 International Professional Manager of the Year by the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing.  He is a tireless advocate for Public purchasing in Arizona.

Michael Greene is the Procurement Administrator for the City of Tempe where he manages an annual spend o $100 million. Michael holds certifications from the Institute for Supply Management and the Arizona State Capitol Chapter of National Institute for Governmental Purchasing (NIGP).

Lupita Gomez is a graduate of the University of Phoenix with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management, Lupita Gomez brings with her over thirty years of procurement experience working with both State and School District procurement with the State of Arizona. Her most recent position was Chief Procurement Officer for the AZ Department of Education.

In addition, Lupita served as President of the Arizona Capitol Chapter of National Institute of Governmental Purchasing and President of the Greater Phoenix Purchasing Consortium of Schools (GPPCS), a purchasing cooperative comprised of over fifty school districts in Arizona.

She most recently served as a member of the Arizona School Procurement Rules Re-write committee which included procurement representatives from various school districts and members of the Auditor General, Attorney General and the State Board of Education. Lupita has always been an active procurement advocate for Arizona public entities such as Arizona Association of School Board Officials and the Arizona State Capitol Chapter of NIGP.
