WHAT TO EXPECT?
ABOUT OUR HOST: THE RIALTO AT 191 TOOLE
Built in 1923, the warehouse at 191 East Toole Avenue served as a refrigerated transfer station & hub for the Union Pacific Railroad. Since then, it's had several iterations, including the first location for the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) and as Skrappy's, a community youth center. The Rialto Theatre Foundation has now taken the reins and is revamping the space, and is already programming 191 Toole with multiple live shows weekly. The Foundation also aims to work with other non-profits and community groups by offering discounted rental space for special events.
Our networking mixers are a great way to meet fellow members and connect with LFA staff. Meetings are held once a month from 6 – 8 p.m. The first hour is dedicated to networking and at 7 p.m., we speak about news you can use within the organization and the local movement. We also hold a drawing for door prizes, which can be donated by members, (minimum value $25, please), simply email: [email protected] Light appetizers & cash bar provided.
Mixers are open to Local First members only, guests may attend with an existing member or at the invitation of LFA staff.
