About our presenter:

Dr. Anissa Villegas has a Doctorate in Business Administration with Emphasis in Marketing. Her published dissertation was trailblazing research on the Influences of Gamification on Millennial Consumers as well as several empirical articles on Millennial’s consumer behaviors, strategy-driven marketing and game-based marketing. Through her extensive research, Anissa modernized the 1960’s Uses and Gratifications (U&G) theory and created a hybrid of U&G with the 1990’s Bartle taxonomy of player types in order to identify theoretical essentials of Branding, Lead Generation and Retention of the digital natives. She calls it, “The Millennial Realization Consumer Theory”. As a self-proclaimed “research nerd,” Anissa is a content expert with local universities on a wide range of marketing topics and serves on research committees to add to the body of knowledge on marketing research.
