What: This event, in partnership with Phoenix Magazine, Local First Arizona and Bar & Restaurant Insurance, is for businesses in the bar, restaurant and hospitality industry. A panel of experts in liquor law, training and insurance will go over updates in Arizona liquor laws for 2019. There will be discussion about lawsuits in regards to hospitality that have been seen in the past, present and upcoming risks. Insurance carriers will discuss trends specific to Arizona.

David DeLorenzo, founder and CEO of Bar & Restaurant Insurance and partner for this event, is a dedicated member of Arizona’s restaurant community, constantly staying current on the bar and restaurant industry, marketing to ensure that he is providing outstanding, quality service for restaurateurs. He has built a reputation of trust in the industry and always looks out for the best interest of his clients in both insurance price and coverage. David is a silent investor of four restaurants in the Phoenix metro area. David feels that by traveling to these restaurants and getting his hands dirty he better understands the needs of the restaurant industry and thus, his client.

Gary Linder, partner at Jones, Skelton & Hochuli, P.L.C. (JSH), practices law in the industry of retail and hospitality with a specialized focus on Dram Shop and Social Host Liability. Gary has successfully managed cases involving the many scenarios and setting in which dram shop and social liability issues arise, including bars, restaurants, employer/company functions and private parties. JSH is the largest and most experienced law firm of trial lawyers in Arizona practicing in the areas of insurance and insurance coverage defense.

Craig Miller is a partner in Arizona Liquor Industry Consultants (ALIC), one of the oldest Liquor Consulting Companies in Arizona.  ALIC is a full service concept developed specifically for and around the liquor industry.  They offer an innovative concept designed specifically around the chronic problems associated with the liquor industry in the state of Arizona. ALIC will assist in the promotion of responsible, cost-effective management of all issues pertaining to the liquor industry.

Craig retired from the Arizona Department of Liquor after spending 22 years in Law Enforcement.  During his time at the Department of Liquor he worked all areas of enforcement and created the Liquor Law training for Law Enforcement and Detection of Fake ID’s.  He retired as the Supervisor of the Trade Practice and Training Unit which provided oversight and training for Suppliers, Producers and Wholesalers.
