The efforts of the Copper Communities Food Hub Feasibility Study are coming to a close. After months of surveys, interviews, and research on successful regional food systems, we are eager to share our findings and recommendations.
Spoiler alert: the key to building a strong local food economy is strong relationships. This celebration is designed to bring folks from the entire region to the same table to discuss opportunities for individual producers, as well as the collective whole.
We hope you'll join us to celebrate the completion of the study with food, drink and merriment. We will also be discussing opportunities and next steps for supporting local producers and making healthy local foods more accessible to all who live in the region.
Student Activity: 1pm-3pm
All-Community Celebration: 5pm-8pm
Who should join us: farmers, ranchers, artisans, food and produce distributors, processors, commercial kitchen mangers, 4-Hers, butchers, government officials, FFAers, non-profit support staff, and eaters.
This celebration is being hosted as an element of Local First Arizona Foundation's participation in the Copper Communities Food Hub Study in partnership with the Southern Gila County Economic Development Corporation and the Copper Corridor Economic Development Coalition.
