Plus, we want to provide a chance for individuals to meet others like them, who want to get the most out of Phoenix.

In the spirit of giving this week, I wanted to share an opportunity to help some kids become future entrepreneurs and leaders. This week I'm helping the CO+HOOTS Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, fundraise to scholarship 100 girls and low income minority youth to participate in Youth Startup Weekend - 3-day entrepreneur hackathon (much like the Startup Weekend we all know and love, just for youth!).
These kids often grow up thinking they don't have the skills to be innovators. None of us started out thinking we'd be entrepreneurs but imagine if we had the experience early on. Imagine if we were able to fail in a safe environment. Imagine what we could have done. Can you help us give the startup experience to youth who can change our world, no matter where they come from? I'd love to see this community rally and build this scholarship fund. We have an anonymous match, so every donation will be matched dollar for dollar and is tax deductible and we're aiming to announce the scholarships on Christmas as their Christmas gift! Can I count on you all for $250 to scholarship 5 kids in need or $50 for 1 child?
