Local First Arizona hosts a variety of events throughout the state every year. From food festivals to educational conferences, all of our events work to build a better Arizona that we're all proud to call home. Events are listed in the order that they would normally fall in a calendar year.

Tucson’s culinary prestige and slow food movement have been growing each year, and now is the time to SAVOR. Indulge in the flavors of Southern Arizona’s culinary arts at this annual event surrounded by the colorful floral blooms of the Tucson Botanical Gardens. Featuring over 60 of the region’s finest chefs, wineries, breweries, local foods and restaurants highlighting exceptional menu tastings.

The Devour Culinary Classic is the region’s premier annual week of culinary events hosted by Phoenix Art Museum, Local First Arizona and Devour Phoenix. Our goal is to showcase the fine food and drink purveyors of Arizona while furthering metro Phoenix as a dining destination worthy of international prestige. Featuring the Devour Phoenix Bartending Competition, Palette to Palate, and the 2-day Classic.

The Arizona Food & Farm Finance Forum is an educational conference for local food entrepreneurs with the goal of changing the way our desert state feeds itself. The event features networking sessions, expert speakers, workshops, and an entrepreneurs showcase. This event is part of the Local First Arizona Foundation's Healthy Local Foods Initiative.

During Independents Week, we encourage Arizonans to “go local” by supporting as many locally owned businesses as possible. We host many of fun events all over the state to engage Arizonans with the local businesses in their neighborhoods. For the entire week, consumers can use the Golden Coupon for 20% discounts at hundreds of participating businesses across the state. This campaign drives new and returning customers in to Arizona’s local businesses.

The Arizona Rural Policy Forum, presented by the Arizona Rural Development Council and the Local First Arizona Foundation, connects rural economic development professionals, nonprofits, community leaders, business owners, and other rural stakeholders who are interested in sustaining rural communities. Our goal is to hear strategies from national experts as well as learn about success stories around Arizona that will give our rural leaders the tools, resources and relationships they need to face current challenges.

Farmer+Chef is the state’s only event of its kind, aimed at building wholesale food networks at the local level. The cornerstone of the event is the Suppliers’ Marketplace, a vendor fair exclusively showcasing Arizona food producers and distributors, followed by a reception featuring local food, beer, wine, and spirits. This event is part of the Local First Arizona Foundation's Healthy Local Foods Initiative.

The SOCENT Summit (Social Entrepreneurship Summit) focuses on Arizona’s businesses who are interested in incorporating corporate social responsibility into their businesses. Attendees will hear from local entrepreneurs on how they operate their businesses with people, planet and profit in mind.

The Certified Local Fall Festival, a free family-friendly event for all ages, is an annual celebration of all things local to Arizona. The festival features over 100 local vendors, live music, food samples from local restaurants, an Arizona beverage garden, kids activities, a silent auction and raffle, and much more.

Buy Local Month is Local First Arizona’s month-long campaign to remind Arizonans to support local businesses during the holiday season. The campaign features fun shopping events, highlights special offers from independent businesses, and much more.
