For the two people getting married, their wedding is an incredibly special day no matter what. For their wedding guests, especially those from out of town, what can really make it a special occasion are the welcome gifts from the bride and groom or host facility. Take the story of Ryan and Allison's wedding guests from earlier this spring when the couple married at Desert Botanical Garden.
Assistant Director of Event Services at Desert Botanical Garden, Esther Battock, wanted to make hotel guests attending Ryan and Allison's special day a memorable time for them, too, as well as provide them with a taste of Arizona. In pursuit of realizing this local guest-gift dream, Battock turned to Local First Arizona's own website to pick out some local goodies for her guests. She chose Hayden Flour Mill's crackers, peanut butter from Peanut Butter Americano, Arizona grown pistachios and date/pecan biscotti's from Sphinx Date Ranch. Proving they are equally as wonderful and sweet as their dates, Sphinx Date Ranch assembled all the gift items into beautifully packaged, locally printed gift boxes for Battock's hotel guests.
Battock and the hotel wedding guests were thrilled with the gift boxes and were happy to enjoy a taste of local Arizona businesses. Battock said of the experience: "Sphinx Date Ranch is right around the corner from the Garden, meaning very little driving! From the first phone call to the pickup, [Sphinx Date Ranch owner] Rebecca made everything so easy."
