Local First AZ Foundation Makes "Fast Pitch" Finals

PJ4_8333 Social Venture Partners Arizona (SVPAZ) Fast Pitch is a truly unique community event that helps support Valley nonprofits that are creating real and lasting impact in Maricopa County. The program trains nonprofit leaders to powerfully communicate their story, and connects them with leaders in the business, philanthropic, and nonprofit communities who can help them achieve their goals.

These leaders are selected to participate based on their innovative approaches to creating social change and their potential for significant positive community impact. They receive training and mentoring over the course of two months from volunteer business professionals on how to succinctly and powerfully “tell their story”.

The program culminates in a “Fast Pitch” competition – a high energy, rapid-fire presentation event during which ten finalists share the mission, vision and impact of their organization with the audience and judges – in just three minutes where nonprofits compete for more than $50,000 in funding.

Rebecca Pringle, Local First Arizona Foundation's Development Director

Rebecca Pringle, Local First Arizona Foundation's Development Director, has reached the finals of the "Fast Pitch" competition, and will take the stage along with 7 other area nonprofits who all do great things for our community. For her Fast Pitch, Rebecca will present the Fuerza Local Business Accelerator Program, one of LFA Foundation's programs which helps small, under-served business owners to become more competitive, while helping them establish credit that will allow them to borrow capital at fair market rates to grow their businesses. This program fits into Local First Arizona's portfolio of other wealth- and community-building initiatives that work together to create and Arizona we're proud to call home.
