Founded in 2011 by Michael and Alissa Marquess, Mother Road Brewing Company has quickly become one of Flagstaff’s favorite brew pubs. This craft brewery's name was inspired by a moniker Author John Steinbeck used to refer to Historic Route 66, which goes through downtown Flagstaff, and the Marquess' creed to always "Find Joy in the Adventure." The folks at Mother Road know their history and have highlighted features of the historic building their business is in. Building upon the past and weaving it in with the modern, the brewers at Mother Road strive toward sustainable practices in their brewing. In their tap room, you can sample from a rotating menu of locally brewed IPAs, Ales, Kolsch style Ales, Porters, Stouts, and Barleywine. There are several glass sizes or you can also have a growler filled up to take home to enjoy later. Events at Mother Road Brewing Company include happy hour, growler refill specials, trivia night, brewery tours, live music and more. You can also reserve a keg of Mother Road beer for your next large gathering. Don’t forget to get a hat or t-shirt so that you can proudly sport the Mother Road logo!
Mother Road provides some things to nibble on along with your beer, but has recently teamed up with Pizzicletta to offer delicious pizzas with table side service. Pizzicletta is next door and will bring a piping hot pizza fresh from their stone oven right to you, just ask for a menu from the bar. Motherroad Brewing Company is located at 7 South Mikes Pikes St. They are open Monday-Thursday from 2PM-9PM, Friday from 2PM-10PM, Saturday 12PM-10PM and Sunday from 12PM-9PM.
