Cartwright’s Sonoran Ranch House restaurant in Cave Creek elevates cowboy cuisine to a whole new level, thoughtfully melding the essence of the original ranch with modern comfort and class. Cartwright’s signature brand of Modern Ranch Cuisine blends the flavors of a rich combined heritage from across the Great American West, all captured and reflected in a unique style that creates a true dining experience.
As our host for the final lunch mixer of 2015, Cartwright's developed an exclusive menu for our local business members to enjoy. This was easily the most cozy networking event to date with a private seating area and a warm fire in the background.
Before Cartwright's became, well, Cartwright's, the building had taken on many different lives, including a bowling alley as well as a gambling hall! To step inside now, you'd never have guessed it was either. Each piece of furniture was either hand-picked or built by the owners and almost everything was purchased locally here in Arizona.
Our first to arrive was Sonoran Tortilla Soup, made with chicken rajas, Cotija queso, avocado salsa and tortilla frizzles. Followed by either braised pork shoulder or a Turquoise Salad, and for dessert, s'mores. Chef Vibber came out to share about the inspiration behind the dishes, the restaurant and their dedication to keeping as many items on the menu local, as Chef Vibber said, "You can talk about farm to table or you can live it."
