Local First Arizona members had a great time this past Wednesday at our northern Arizona mixer hosted by the fabulous team at Desert Diamond Distillery. Also known as D3, this local distillery is proud to be Arizona's first premium rum and vodka producer. With its distilling location in Kingman and a beautiful tasting room in Old Town Cottonwood, guests were fascinated by all Desert Diamond Distillery has to offer. The evening started with flashbacks of beach vacations as guests sipped on tasty beverages like D3's Gold Miner brand Premium Hand Crafted Agave Rum, which is seductively rich in delicious flavor, amber color and desert fragrance. We also got to try award winning rums like the Gold Miner Dark Rum and Gold Miner Vodka. Owner Deborah Patt gave a riveting account of Desert Diamond Distillery's history and the importance of sourcing locally to create the most unique flavors possible.
The Local First Arizona team discussed the recent outcomes of the 2015 Rural Policy Forum held two weeks ago a few miles away in Clarkdale. We went over the great responses received including how much attendees enjoyed experiencing the Verde Valley and success stories of connections made across the state. We also talked about the upcoming Farmer + Chef Connection being held in Tucson this September, as well as future webinars and seminars members can partake in.

Join us for our next mixer in beautiful Flagstaff at Mother Road Brewing Company on Monday, September 14th from 6Pm-8PM. This craft beer brewery offers an assortment of locally brewed options from Black IPA’s to Pale Ales. Come mix and mingle while we discuss the outcomes of the Localist Launch Party and other Local First Arizona events. RSVP HERE!
