With temperatures rising in most of Arizona and locals looking to the northern part of the state for a quick cool off, the folks at Paige Spring Cellars have picked the perfect time to celebrate wine. The second annual Tilted Earth Wine and Music Festival is taking place this weekend Friday through Saturday June 19th and 20th at Riverfront Park in Cottonwood and you do not want to miss out the best wine celebration of the year.
This two day festival is in celebration of the many accomplishments the wine industry in the Verde Valley have made. Since becoming a premiere destination spot for wine connoisseurs, you can bet the wine lineup for this years event is top notch. Verde Valley favorites like Paige Springs Cellars, Burning Tree Cellars, Chateau Tumbleweed, Arizona Stronghold, Pillsbury Wine Company, Alcantara and Fire Mountain Wines will all be pouring glasses of their uniquely crafted wines. Food will be available from eight gourmet food trucks including The Rocket Woodfired Pizza, The Affogato Truck, Sandra Dee’s Creole Kitchen and Burgers Amore. Other vendors, like Backstage Gastropub, Chocolita exotic raw chocolate and Local Juicery will also be joining in the fun.
The action doesn't stop at wine tasting. Four live bands have been booked for each day including headliners like Robert Earl Keen and Liz Berlin of Rusted Root. As well as some Arizona native bands such as Decker and Dry River Yacht Club. The event also includes a family area that features a rock climbing wall, bounce house, teen gaming tent and a simulated archaeological dig hosted by Verde Valley Archaeology.
