April is Bike Month and the vintage motorcycle show is celebrating its love of things two-wheeled. Sunday, April 26th marks the return of the Annual Tucson Vintage Motorcycle Show and Swap meet. Now in it’s 6th year, this celebration of unique vintage motorcycles and scooters is the largest vintage motorcycle show in Arizona. The event is held at Barrio Brewing at 800 E. 16th St. from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Come shop the swap meet where enthusiasts can buy and sell vintage parts and watch a judging of vintage motorcycles. If you love vintage and unusual motorcycles, this show is for you! There is a motorcycle competition where trophies are awarded for Best in Class. Motorcycles will be judged in the following classes: British (1956 – 1980), Italian (1956 – 1980), German (1956 – 1980), Japanese (1956 – 1980), Scooter (1956 – 1980), Antique (1955/prior), Modern Classic (1981–present), 250cc & under, Grand Champion, Cafe/Custom, Vintage Knobbies and Vintage Freakshow. The show is your chance to get up close to some truly rare and unusual motorcycles. Enthusiasts come from all over the state to participate in the show. “We are a group of folks who just really love old bikes, “says Mik White, one of the event organizers. “We meet every other Wednesday at Barrio Brewing and anybody who appreciates motorcycles is welcome.” Admission to the event is free, but there is a $5 Bike entry registration free for those wishing to enter motorcycles in the judging. Judging ends at 1:00pm with awards being presented at 2pm. A limited number of swap spaces are still available for $20 each. In addition to being a motorcycle enthusiast, Mik White is a managing partner of Local First AZ member, Habitation Realty. A portion of the proceeds from this year’s event will be donated to Local First AZ.
