Record Store Day is a nationally-recognized holiday celebrating independent record stores and is when hundreds of exclusive releases are made available on Saturday, April 18th. For this year’s Record Store Day, Zia Records and Dogfish Head Beer have a special beer and food event brewing on Sunday, April 12th at 5pm. The event will benefit the Beer for Brains Foundation and Phoenix Children’s Hospital at Brat Haus, in the heart of Old Town Scottsdale. Tickets for this 21-and-over event are available at Zia Records’ four Valley locations for $33.30. This food, music, and vinyl record-centric event, featuring a four-course beer and food pairing dinner, starring an exclusive Dogfish Head beer brat crafted by the award-winning kitchen at Brat Haus.
Zia Records will also host a charity silent auction with proceeds benefiting the Beer for Brains and the Phoenix Children’s Hospital. Attendees will have the chance to bid on vinyl record test-pressings, concert and sport ticket bundles, a Dogfish Head turntable, VIP tickets to Rare Affair, and other exciting items. All attendees will receive a Music to Drink Beer To CD sampler and a print by artist Marq Spustam, creator of psychedelic art for Dinosaur Jr., the Black Crowes, Widespread Panic, Dave Matthews Band, Primus, and many more. Brian Chartrand, local Phoenix music, featured on our upcoming Zia Records "You Heard Us Back When, Vol. 9" will be performing as well with his terrific music from 5:30-6:30PM.
