Neely and Property Mixologist, Aaron DeFeo are both enthusiastic about participating in the upcoming SAVOR Food + Wine Festival on February 7th. Chef Erik Savin, of Casino Del Sol Resort’s Forbes Four Star Award Winning PY Steakhouse, will be presenting a Grgich Hills Chocolate Truffle Pop paired with Grgich Hills Cabernet & Chardonnay. Casino Del Sol Resort’s newest restaurant, Ume, will be featuring a Mango Sushi Roll & Dragon Sushi Roll along with Momokawa Junmai Ginjo Sake. Mixologist DeFeo has something special planned as well. “We’ll be showcasing botanical cocktails to fit in with the botanical theme at the gardens,” comments DeFeo. “I want to demonstrate to people how the flash infusions of fresh herbs and botanicals affects the flavors of the cocktails.” DeFeo comments that they use local ingredients wherever they can in many of the cocktails he creates. He feels it creates a very special experience for both locals and visitors. “It’s good for out of town guests to really get a taste of Tucson by trying these products.” Casino Del Sol Resort also features a “Drink Local Happy Hour” with half off Arizona spirits, beer and wine.
