If you’re looking for a memorable night out with amazing food check out any of the great local restaurants that have special New Year’s Eve menus. Jonathan’s Cork will be opening up at 1:30 for the Fiesta Bowl with a Green Chili Pork special and seating for a special New Year's Eve dinner will start at 5. The Grill at Hacienda del Sol will be sure to make your taste buds sing with a five course tasting menu featuring items like Seared Sea Scallops with Compressed Watermelon, Parsley Cilantro and Cured Lemon Salad. If you’d like to stay downtown check out the Black Eyed Pea soup and Oysters Rockefeller at Agustin Kitchen or the four course champagne dinner featuring the famous Tack Room Chocolate Mousse at The Coronet! Proper will also be hosting a special New Year's Eve dinner with complimentary champagne. From New American to Classic French cuisines they’ve got you covered. Reservations will be required so be sure to call ahead and get a spot.
For the music minded, there are plenty of options for you as well! The Casino Del Sol has plenty of different music options ranging from full service dinner and a show, to a Michael Jackson tribute band, or David Lee Garza live. There are plenty of choices for all different music styles.
Downtown there are plenty of entertainment options. Both The Rialto and Hotel Congress will be hosting multiple stages with great local and traveling music. The Rialto is hosting Tropidelica - A Glow in the Dark New Year's Eve with Chicha Dust and Howe Gelb at their sister bar R Bar right next door. will have a tropical glow in the dark party. Hotel Congress will be dropping a 15-foot taco (yes that’s right, a 15-foot taco) at midnight. General admission pre-sale tickets for the Hotel Congress event are sold out, but VIP tickets and a limited number day of tickets are still available. Admission prices range from general to VIP and in between.
The Playground will be hosting a Casino Royale James Bond themed new years party include $5 Shaken Not Stirred Martinis, Roulette & Black Jack tables. They will be partnering with nearby H20, admission to one gets you in with no waiting at the other for Tucson’s largest rooftop dance party! General admission and VIP tickets are available.
Get ready to go Back to the New Year at the Maker House with their Time Traveler Ball. A Back to the Future themed party with Doc, Bill, Marty and Biff and an appearance from the actual Universal Studios Back to the Future DeLorean! Maker House will be hosting three time periods! The 1955 Hill Valley Enchantment Under the Sea Dance, the cyberpunk future of Blade Runner/5th Element EDM room, and the present day Maker House courtyard!
Keeping with the 80’s theme, The Loft will be doing an 11 p.m. showing of The Princess Bride featuring a Princess Bride Quote & Costume Contest, raffle for fabulous prizes, party favors, light hors d’oeuvres with Princess Peanut Butter Cups and a midnight champagne toast.
Even if you’re just headed downtown for a drink or to meet up some friends why not support local at one of the local breweries including a Brew Year's Eve party at Pueblo Vida or a No-Frills No-Cover get together at Tap and Bottle with champagne at midnight.
