This is a northern Arizona member spotlight for THAT Brewery in Cottonwood A new member of the Cottonwood community, THAT Brewery recently opened its doors to beer enthusiasts in late August. THAT Brewery has entertained guests with locally brewed craft beers, food and family activities at its Pine location since 2012. Since then, owners Tamara and Steve Morken have taken on a new venture and expanded their presence in the Northern Arizona community by opening a production brewery and tasting room in Cottonwood.
After the opening of its first location in 2012, THAT Brewery’s locally crafted beers found their way into the Phoenix bar scene, where they have gained popularity among beer lovers. However, the demand for these unique craft brews is just as prevailing in the Northern Arizona community. The Morkens embraced this opportunity to scout a second location, which celebrated its grand opening in August following months of renovations and transformation. Today, their brews are served at 35 locations from about 55 taps across Arizona, including the Phoenix Metro area, Verde Valley and Rim Country.
Both locations of THAT Brewery are actively involved in the community, having most recently served their favored beer at the Clarktoberfest in Clarkdale. THAT Brewery will also be pouring their craft brews at upcoming events in Arizona, such as the “Ales on Rails” event before guests board the Verde Canyon Railroad on 10/11, as well as at Sedona’s Red Rock Oktoberfest on 10/25. Events are also planned to take place at the newly opened Cottonwood location, including a sugar skull pictures painting class on 10/29 and a Día de Muertos event on 11/1.
Located at 300 E. Cherry St., THAT Brewery invites the community to celebrate the opening of the Cottonwood location.
