Here at Local First Arizona, we are striving to partner and collaborate with the residents, business owners, Chambers of Commerce and other groups in the Sedona, Oak Creek Canyon and Flagstaff to help in recovery as the Slide Fire subsides. We wanted you to know about a benefit dinner happening on June 20th in celebration of Page Springs Cellars' Tilted Earth Wine and Music Festival, held in Cottonwood on June 21st. The proceeds from this dinner will be going to help communities affected by the Slide Fire. The devastation of the Oak Creek Canyon Slide Fire will be felt by all of us; however, the impact is hitting the local small businesses and their staffs the hardest. Due to the road and business closures, many people have been and will be out of work for weeks to come. This collaborative wine dinner is a humble attempt to raise funds help our local community survive and get through this trying time. All proceeds and donations will go directly to a relief fund aimed towards our local Oak Creek Canyon community.
See the incredible menu for the dinner here and please share with anyone you think would like to attend. Grand Canyon Winery will be featuring five wines that have been carefully paired with a five course meal of locally sourced & foraged ingredients from nearby organic farms and ranches prepared by chef Cameron Gray. This garden dinner at Indian Gardens in lush Oak Creek will also feature the sweet sweet tunes of Flagstaff's one and only Teddy's Bullet, stylish and sexy folk fusion band.
Tilted Earth is looking for local farms, ranches, and businesses for donations towards this cause. If you, or someone you know, might be able to donate prizes for the raffle (spa packages, gift certificates, wine baskets, etc), food for the dinner or anything else that might be needed, please forward to [email protected]. We would like to thank you in advance for your community support.
