We love LFA members like Julie Rustad of Julie Originals, who is always looking for ways to connect with other LFA members and local businesses. When a new coffee house opened in her neighborhood, she was excited to have a nice new place right around the corner to have coffee with her clients. "When I met Ian Victors of Tucson Coffee Roasters, I immediately asked him if he was a member of Local First Arizona," says Julie. "It was such a perfect fit for his family-owned business!” At the April Local First Arizona member networking mixer Ian offered Julie the opportunity to hang her work in Tucson Coffee House for May. At the same mixer Julie met Corinne McClintock from Mo’s Gallery & Fine Framing, a family owned and operated business since 1985. “Another local business right around the corner from my house. I knew I had to bring my new art to them to get framed," says Julie. This type of collaboration happens frequently and is part of what makes Local First Arizona so special.
The collaborative efforts of these three Local First Arizona businesses has resulted in the Fresh Roasted Art Show on May 3rd from 10am - 12pm at Tucson Coffee Roasters. The event is perfect for the whole family to enjoy fun and whimsical paintings which complement the fresh and airy feel of this new local coffee house. Meet Julie and Ian and sip on a fresh cup of coffee, tea or smoothie while listening to acoustic guitar by Bo Scurvy on the patio. Original art, prints and greeting cards make great Mother's Day presents and Julie will be available to sign any Julie Originals art and products at the event. You can also enter to win a cute gift basket from Julie Originals and Tucson Coffee Roasters.
Please RSVP for the event here.
As a way of saying “thanks” to Local First AZ, any of our card carrying Localists will receive 50% off their drink orders when they show their card. Check out this and other great offers on our Localists event page.
