Arizona Tequilas take on the competition at the 6th Annual Agave Fest

LFA Members 3 Amigos Tequila and Roger Clyne's Mexican Moonshine Tequila will be going head to head with over 50 other agave based spirits at the 6th Annual Agave Fest, Friday, May 2nd at Hotel Congress from 7-10pm.  For only $40, attendees receive 12 tasting tickets good for sampling multiple grades and expressions of the agave plant.  Representatives of several distilleries will be on hand to help guide attendees in their choices.

Everyone at the event receives a commemorative Milagro Tequila souvenir shot glass and a chance to vote for the “Best Tequila Cocktail” created by eight of Tucson’s star bartenders.  There will also be live music and tasty eats at the taco and salsa bar.  For those who want to become truly educated agave aficionados, Congress is hosting “Agave 101” for a limited number of ticket holders prior to the Fest at 5 p.m. This free 45-minute special event tasting will educate attendees in all things agave in order to distinguish Bacanoras from Sotols and Mezcals from Tequilas.  Only 45 spots are available for this seminar.  Ticket holders can sign up on Eventfly at the time of ticket purchase.

After Agave Fest, catch the official El Tambo After Party on the plaza with DJ Dirty Verbs playing the hottest cumbia & dub dance mixes.  Attendees can even make a night of it by taking advantage of the special room packages, which include two tickets to the event, a hangover recovery kit, and Agave Fest memorabilia.   Tickets for this event do sell out fast, so be sure to get yours here.
