Look Who's Going Local: Renaissance Phoenix Downtown Hotel

When planning an event, there are so many things to consider: what kind of food to serve; live music or DJ; printed or electronic invitations; venue; and so much more. Another consideration to go along with all of these decisions is supporting local businesses as much as possible with each option. Poster (1)

When the Renaissance Phoenix Downtown Hotel was planning their 2nd Annual Birthday Bash on February 22, they decided to turn to local businesses as much as possible for their party planning needs.

Let's count the ways the Renaissance will be going local!

  1. They'll be serving Arizona wine from Grand Canyon Winery
  2. A pop up local art gallery by Shade Projects
  3. Boutique A Go-Go, a local mobile boutique truck, will be on site
  4. R Kitchen will be serving up food sourced from local purveyors
  5. Casino games & silent auction will benefit local nonprofit the O'Connor House that works to solve important social, economic, and political problems through civil talk leading to civil action.

We are so impressed with the efforts the Renaissance is going through to support Arizona's local businesses! By choosing local businesses for their event needs, they are keeping dollars circulating in the local economy and supporting local jobs, ultimately creating a more vibrant and prosperous community for everyone.

We had to ask: What motivates the Renaissance to support local businesses?

"At the Renaissance Phoenix Downtown Hotel, we have the privilege of hosting travelers from all over the world during their visit to Arizona," said Paige Lund, General Manager of the Renaissance Phoenix Downtown Hotel. "We love this great state and are extremely passionate about navigating our guests to experiences that are unique, one of a kind and that represent this amazing destination and there is no better way to do that than to seek out and recommend all the local places to sip, savor, shop and see – 'hidden gems' as we call them that cannot be experienced anywhere else.

"We are also very committed to supporting and giving back to our community and because local business plays such an integral role in the personality and character of any community we feel it important to partner with and support as many as we possibly can. Local experiences introduce soul to the community and people respond well to soul."

We think that Paige has hit the nail on the head here, and are so happy that they are directing their guests and customers to experience the best that Phoenix and Arizona have to offer through Arizona's local businesses. Thank you, Renaissance Phoenix Downtown Hotel! And don't forget to check out their 2nd Annual Birthday Bash on February 22!
