On Thursday December 19, 2013 enjoy a special "Shop Local" edition of the market. From 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Santa Cruz River Farmers’ Market will celebrate Shop Local Day. The event will feature handmade crafts and food samples from Iskashitaa Refugee Network and Ben’s Bells. Iskashitaa Refugee Network is a grass roots organization that helps rebuild refugee lives through partnerships with volunteers and local organizations. Ben’s Bell’s mission is to inspire, educate and motivate each other to realize the impact of intentional kindness and to empower individuals to act according to that awareness. Also available for sale will be locally made tortillas, jams & jellies, mesquite flour, homemade pies, salsas and a large selection of fresh, locally grown fruits and veggies.
