October is upon us, with a nice lineup of local events! For the best in local fall season events, check out the listings below: Desert Botanical Garden Every year, the Desert Botanical Garden’s Great Pumpkin Festival is one of the valley’s favorite places to find that special pumpkin. Come down from October 17th – 20th with the whole family for free pumpkins (for all children 12 and under), crafts and activities, hay bale maze, petting zoo, authentic hayride, carnival games, and some good ol’ country entertainment! Access to the event is included in general admission to the garden. Admission is $8 for children, $18 for adults, $10 for students, and $15 for seniors.
Queen Creek Olive Mill Every weekend from October 13th until December 16th, Queen Creek Olive Mill is opening the market and café for their Annual Harvest Festival! Stop by for site tours, taste some oil fresh from the press, or grab wine, coffee and locally prepared food for happy hour. However you decide to celebrate the harvest, don’t forget to visit the marketplace for a full lineup of olive products including tapenades, oils, vinegars, and bath and body products.
Page Springs Cellars On October 5th, Page Springs Cellars will host its 8th Annual Harvest Festival! Come by to celebrate the season with live music, food, wine and entertainment for all ages. VIP Tickets are already sold out for the festival, so don’t miss your opportunity; get your tickets in advance online, to secure your spot and to score a reusable GoVino Harvest Festival glass! Admission to the festival is $40.
Lawrence Dunham Vineyards Join Lawrence Dunham Vineyards for an exclusive pre-release tasting party! The Chiricahua Circle Harvest Celebration Lunch will take place on Saturday, October 5th this year. Event attendees will receive a special multi-course lunch, barrel tasting, tour, and, of course, get the first tastes of their newest product line, before it hits the shelves! Member admission is $25, and non-member admission is $35.
Alcantara Vineyards Join our friends at Alcantara Vineyards for their Harvest Festival, celebrating the year’s grapes! Featuring food, fine cigars, entertainment and, of course, wine, this event promises to provide good times and more. Visit the event page for more details. Native Seed/SEARCH It's been another abundant summer at the NS/S Conservation Farm in beautiful Patagonia, AZ. now it's time to share the bounty! All are welcome to join NS/S for a scrumptious community feat of regionally-adapted delights. Bring a friend or two and musical instruments for a fireside jam under the stars! the NS/S Harvest Festival is Saturday, October 26th, from 3 PM til dark.
