Thomas Barr is LFA’s newest team member, filling the role of Membership Coordinator and Technical Support. Born and raised in the West Valley, Thomas is a graduate of Arizona State University with a B.A. in Communication and currently resides in Tempe, AZ. He has spent the past three and a half years working for The Phoenix Zoo (a sustaining member of LFA!) in both their guest services and membership departments. Gaining extensive experience in member relations, database management, and program development, Thomas is well equipped to take on the membership responsibilities at LFA.
Along with managing LFA’s database, administering correspondence to our members, processing all memberships, and acting as the point of contact for all technical issues, Thomas will begin involvement in our membership committee, focusing on member retention and engagement as well as maximizing member participation and involvement. Other major projects will focus on organizing processes for our Small Wonders Map distribution within the Phoenix area, assisting in content development for member outreach, and creating recommendations for promoting new programs, products and services created for members.
Thomas is extremely excited to be a part of the team at Local First Arizona and is looking forward to supporting the progression of the local movement across our great state. If you are a locally owned business and want more information about membership, or are a current member with questions, please contact Thomas.
