Today’s Local First Arizona member spotlight is on Mesa Arts Center:
We absolutely adore what we recently stumbled across at the Mesa Arts Center. Always on the hunt for one-of-a-kind gifts to give to friends and family, the Artists Cooperative Gallery at MAC is comprised unique, locally made art ranging from paintings, pottery, jewelry, glass, scarves, photography and much more. A group of 60 Arizona artists make up the co-op and can be seen on regular rotation at the store, offering demonstrations of their craft, answering questions, or helping pick out the perfect gift. There is a wide selection of pieces and merchandise to quench individual styles, tastes, and pocketbooks. A portion of each purchase gets reinvested in the arts, supporting the co-op and the foundation itself. The MAC is quickly becoming the perfect place to spend an afternoon - catch a performance, take in the beautiful modern ambiance of the center, stroll through multiple galleries, enjoy a demonstration by an up-and-coming or renowned Valley artist, and take home a rare, locally made treasure.
