Today’s Local First Arizona member spotlight is on Pete's Fish & Chips:
A good restaurateur knows when you stumble across a secret recipe that works you've uncovered a goldmine. Pete's Fish & Chips, a family tradition since 1947, has created a legacy here in the Valley. As one of the first locally owned fast food chains, Pete's has survived and succeeded during the ups and downs of the economy and the changing landscape of Arizona without altering its original recipe for success - price, quality, and service. With eight locations around the Valley, Pete's plays a part in many native Phoenician's childhood memories - ah, the days of sitting at a picnic table, drenched in sweat, outside of a Pete's "chip house" feasting on Dixie Dogs, Monster Burgers, and wishing for more of that secret sauce. Founder Pete Grant was inspired by the fish and chip houses he saw in Europe while serving in the military and brought his vision to suburban areas around the Valley, rich with families and kids. Pete's Fish & Chips is still run by members of the Grant Family, delivering the same goodness and friendly customer service from days past. Bring the family to Pete's for a trip down memory lane.
