Independent local retailer, Zoolikins, has teamed up with Maggie’s Place, a community that provides houses of hospitality for expectant women who are alone or on the streets.
Throughout the month of December, Zoolikins customers who spend over $125 will have a $10 gift certificate to the store donated to Maggie’s Place. Customers are also encouraged to bring in new or gently used baby goods for donation. Maggie’s Place is in need of baby toiletries, baby bottles and feeding accessories, breast feeding accessories, women's hygiene products, newborn and infant clothing, receiving blankets, swaddles and burp cloths. “For Zoolikins customers, having a baby is one of the most joyous times in their lives” says Zoolikins store manager, Shira Shnier. “But for some expectant mothers, it is a time of hardship. We want to change that, we want the women at Maggie’s Place to feel the joy they are entitled to feel – especially during the holiday season.”
Zoolikins has built a wonderful community in Old-Town Scottsdale for new and expectant families, focusing on safe, creative, natural products for baby and beyond. Their sense of community and belonging mirrors the mission of Maggie’s Place, which is why this partnership is so fitting, especially at this time of year. “We are thrilled to partner with Zoolikins to serve our moms and babies. The help we receive will not only bless them in this holiday season, but it will have an impact in the months to come,” said Kim DeMerrit, Director of Events for Maggie’s Place.
