The Phoenix Business Journal recently published an article on the Top 10 job-creating companies in Arizona based on the findings of Inc. magazine. We were not surprised to find that many of these job creators were local businesses, and members of Local First Arizona! Below are the members that were highlighted in the list:
Buffalo Exchange, Tucson Employees: 718; Jobs Created: 65 Revenue Range: $50 million - $100 million
Mountainside Fitness, Tempe Employees: 547; Jobs Created: 67 Revenue Range: $20 million - $50 million
CryaCom International, Tucson Employees: 659; Jobs Created: 453 Revenue Range: $20 million - $50 million
GoDaddy.com, Scottsdale Employees: 3,443; Jobs Created: 1,403 Revenue Range: $500 million to $1 billion
GoDaddy.com snagged the #5 position overall for job creators nationally, while CyraCom International came in at #46. This demonstrates that local businesses are the key to improving our economy and fully recovering from the recession. If we make the shift to support local businesses, our dollars will go directly to business owners in our community, and will ultimately result in business expansion and job creation. We don't have to wait for someone to fix the economy--we can do our part to fix it by supporting local businesses!
