First time using the Local First Arizona iPhone app? Let's get your profile set up!

Setting up your profile

Go to http://beta.hylo.com/login and log in with the information sent to you in the email. (Lost your info? Contact me at russ@localfirstaz.com)

You're in! This is the dashboard, where you can update your profile, add your business to different categories, and schedule promotions and events. Since this is your first time, let's make sure that your profile is complete.

Select "My Account" up in the right hand corner. From here you can update your Business Name, Business Description, add your website, and upload your logo (highly recommended!). Select "Update Business" to save.

Back on the homepage now, you can select your name in the right hand corner. From here you can change your password and also update the information that we (Local First Arizona) will use to contact you regarding the iPhone app. Click "Update Profile" to save. (Please note that this is just contact info for the app, if you would like to change your general contact information with Local First, please contact our administrator Linda Cherry at (480) 767-1774 or info@localfirstaz.com.)

To update your business location, select "Locations" on the left side of the dashboard. To edit your business address, click on the pencil icon to edit. If you have more than one location, select "Add a New Location". If you don't have a physical location, enter your zip code only. This will let iPhone users know what area of the state your business is located. You can get creative with this: want potential customers to know that you're working out of the coffee shop today? Update your location with that address for the morning. This is your app.

Now you can add your business to a Directory. This is how iPhone users will find you on the app directory. Select "Directories" in the tool bar on the left hand side of the dashboard. Select the available directory/directories and add your business to each applicable subcategory. If you feel that your business is listed in the wrong directory or should be listed in multiple directories, please contact me at russ@localfirstaz.com.

Scheduling Deals/Events

Profile set up? Now you're ready to run deals and events! Be creative, this doesn't always have to mean discounted items. Are you giving away free cupcakes? Just received a shipment of brand new stock? Just had a cancelled appointment and want to broadcast the opening? Get the word out in real-time.

From your dashboard, select "Schedule Deal". The instructions below are also applicable for "Schedule Event".

If this is your first time, select "Create A Deal". Here you can give the deal a name, description of what's being offered, and upload a corresponding image. Select "Create Deal" to save.

Now the deal has been created and is ready to be scheduled. You can give the promotion a name to help you stay organized (once you create a deal, it is saved for future reference and available to be scheduled again quickly. Does not apply to events). To schedule the deal, set up the start and end times by clicking in the Promotion Start/End boxes. This will bring up a calendar and sliding time selector. Once the times are set, be sure to select all locations that will be running the deal and click on "Schedule Promotion". If the start time for the deal is right now, all iPhone users looking at the app in your area will see your deal immediately!

You can edit any live promotions by choosing Promotions > My Promotions from the homepage, then selecting the edit tool next to the promotion you would like to edit. From this screen you can also select "Run Promotions" to quickly schedule any previously saved promotions (note: this only applies to deals, not events).
