These are just some of the reasons why you should become a business member of Local First Arizona:
QUALITY OF LIFE
Local First is a long-term solution to a deep-rooted problem. We’re working to effect permanent changes in the way people think about how they spend their money- but that won’t happen overnight. We understand it’s going to take time, but we’ve made an enduring commitment to our communities. We’re in it for the long run. Ultimately the future of our state is far more important to the people who stand behind Local First than it is to any chain store. This isn’t just another branch location for us. It’s our home.
LFA works at the state level to encourage legislation that favors Arizona businesses in the state procurement process, and at the city level to streamline the process for the adaptive reuse of existing buildings that are the incubator spaces for entrepreneurs to open new businesses, which create infill and density. LFA also sponsors economic studies to prove local spending is better for our communities than corporate spending.
LFA creates programs for members that includes printed maps, called Small Wonders; the Certified Local Fall Festival hosts over 100 local businesses and draws thousands of Localists to Phoenix to enjoy food, live music and fun for families; National Independents Week during which consumers are encouraged to buy locally for the entire week; and Buy Local Month brings exposure to Local First Arizona members while encouraging consumers to shop locally for the holidays. Plus much more.
Local First Arizona can help lend visibility to your business. As a member, your business will be listed on our online local business directory that is being searched more than 50,000 times per month. Local First Arizona also has a vast online communications platform, reaching over 150,000 followers on social media, 20,000 newsletter subscribers, and 10,000 monthly blog readers.
Local First Arizona is able to secure discounts on all sorts of products and services exclusively for its members. From specials from our sustaining members such as a 10% discount on office supplies from Wist Office Products to discounted advertising from our media partners, Local First Arizona members can support fellow local businesses and save money.
At Local First Arizona, we're building a community of local businesses, and the individuals who support them. Business owners are encouraged to attend networking mixers to develop relationships with other like-minded businesses of all kinds. Business to business relationships and local procurement are encouraged.
