December Kimber Lanning Presents & Volunteer Orientation

  • Local First Arizona Phoenix Offices 407 East Roosevelt Street Phoenix, AZ, 85004 United States

As 2016 draws to a close, there are a lot of unanswered questions about where the next year will take us. At Local First Arizona, we aim to continue the work of fighting for a fair economy and a just system that works for all Arizonans.

However, the work cannot be done by just a few people. Much like the old saying, "It takes a village to raise a child," in order to create the real and lasting changes we want to see, it will take each of us to help move the needle forward.

We invite you to join us for an exclusive end of year discussion with Local First Arizona Director & Founder, Kimber Lanning, for an honest review of the local movement and how we can all be catalysts for change.

After the discussion, we will hold a special Local First AZ volunteer orientation from 6:30p - 7:00p. The orientation will cover our LFA history, current programs and initiatives. Learn what volunteer positions are available and how to get involved.

About our volunteer program:
Volunteer with us as an Ambassador to Local First Arizona (ALFA)! We call our volunteers “ALFAs”  (Ambassadors of Local First Arizona) because they are dedicated to our mission of creating unique, diverse communities and a more sustainable, resilient economy for everyone!

At Local First Arizona, volunteers are one of the most powerful ways to help us mobilize local communities across the state. The time and passion dedicated from our volunteers aid in supporting our work while creating dynamic ways to empower individuals to ‘go local’!

Are you ready to become an ALFA?

Are you at least 18 years old?
Are you enthusiastic to learn more about LFA’s mission and work in the community?
Are able to commit to scheduled volunteer times?
Are you able to stand, sit or be mobile for long periods (varies on event/task)?
Do you have experience with volunteering/working with groups (preferred)?
Are you bilingual? (a plus but not required)
Do you have a love for all things local?
