A private, non-profit organization that was founded by Dwight B. and Maie Bartlett Heard, a prominent Phoenix couple that moved to the Valley in 1895 from Chicago. A museum of Native cultures and art, the Heard is world famous for its extensive collections of American Indian cultural art and fine art, unique exhibits showcasing both traditional and contemporary art, special events and innovative programming.

The Heard Museum Shop has grown and developed from its humble 1958 beginnings to become one of the nation's finest purveyors of American Indian art. The majority of pieces in the extensive inventory are purchased directly from hundreds of artists. Only the finest in authentic American Indian jewelry, pottery, paintings, sculpture & katsina dolls.
